Pioneering work in developing orthopaedic surgery as a specialty in Nepal and making their services available to a vast spectrum of the population through the establishment of B & B Hospital and Hospital & Rehabilitation Centre for Disabled Children (HRDC), charitable institution. Trained over 34 orthopaedic surgeons under personal preceptorship. Most of these surgeons are working in Nepal in prominent leadership roles. Post graduate training in Orthopedic still continues under the FCPS umbrella. Large numbers of publication in national and international journals and chapters in international orthopaedic texts. Recipient of many awards including World of Children, Asia Pacific Star Award, World of Children Alumni award, multiple orations national and international etc.

Dr. Saroj Rijal, senior orthopedic surgeon, has been a part of the orthopedic team at B&B Hospital since its establishment in 1997. Dr. Amit Joshi is a renowned Arthroscopy surgeon in the country and currently Professor at Nepalese Army Institute of Health Sciences and Senior Arthroscopy Consultant at B&B Teaching Hospital. He pursued his fellowship in Arthrooscopy & Sports injury from India and USA, and has been actively involved in arthroscopic surgery since 2007, with experience of over 10000 arthroscopic surgeries. He has over 70 publications & many under review. Dr. Joshi has written chapter on Arthroscopy in books and has been national and international faculty at various famous arthroscopy conferences.
