Neurosurgery

The Department of Neurosurgery has one consultant and three house officers. There is a three bed-Neurosurgery ICU and twenty two bed ward allocated to neurosurgery department catered by trained and dedicated group of nurses. The department is supported by thirteen-bed fully equipped ICU with facility of intracranial pressure and partial pressure of carbondioxide measurement.

Departement Services

The department is equipped to deal with all kinds of head and spinal problems, including trauma, tumour, congenital anomalies, vascular problems, stroke, degenerative spine disorders, etc.

The department is actively involved in academic activities of Hospital, national and international conferences including the weekly Tuesday meeting, quarterly meetings of Nepalese society of Neurosurgeon, South Asian Neurosurgical Congress, etc. A few publications have come highlighting the work of the department in national and international journals and confereces.
